I was just thinking about
Edward VIII, son of
George V, and how he famously abdicated after barely a year on the throne in 1936 to marry a commoner and I wandered what would of happened if he didn't marry her and he'd settled down with a 'proper' wife and produced heirs to the throne. What would they have been called?
He also had a younger brother,
John, who died when he was thirteen, but what if he grew up and had kids? It's not really a game but I thought maybe I'd put this up and see what children you gave them (I haven't used namebanks but they'd have to be old fashioned names- they weren't called
Nathan,
Gabriel or
Madison back then).
George V had 9 grandchildren in real life (I'll list them so you get the gist):
George Henry Hubert b. 1923
Gerald David b. 1924
Elizabeth Alexandra Mary b. 1926 (the current queen and neice of
Ed. VIII)
Margaret Rose b. 1930
Edward George Nicholas Patrick Paul b. 1935
Alexandra Helen Elizabeth Olga Christabel b. 1936
William Henry Andrew Frederick b. 1941
Michael George Charles Franklin b. 1942
Richard Alexander Walter George b. 1944
Their wives don't have to be real
Princess's- you can make them up if you wish.
