[Opinions] WDYTO Bink?
After weeks of searching for a good name for a villain in my story, I finally desided to call him Bink. I'm actually still wondering if it's a good name, so please tell me, what do you think?
Bink is a kind of an absurd guy. He looks like the perfect boyfriend: he is handsome, romantic, sweet, strong, faithful, smart, well-educated, rich and has a good family, but he has a very dark side: he is a cannibal, just like the rest of his family, and tries to hide that from his girlfriend. When she discovers that Bink has eaten her aunt, he tells he that he's going to rehab, but he actually never does. That's why I tried to give him an absurd name. It also means "guy" in Dutch.

I never knew that meant guy in Dutch. My dad gave me the nickname of Binks (yes, with an S) as a baby out of nowhere. That is pretty weird to know now. :-) Anyway, Bink is cool enough to work for a villain.
Reminds me of the A.A. Milne poem Binker, about Christopher Robin's imaginary friend. If you're going for absurdist then Bink's right on the money lol. Your story sounds like fun!
I don't think it works well, but I think something like Barnabas/Barnaby or Beauregard nickname Bink would be great.
Also, I really love this plotline, assuming it's supposed to be a somewhat absurdist dark comedy. I'd TOTALLY read this!

It sounds like the name of a 70's game show host: Bink Winkleman!!!
I don't like it for a villain. I know the character is supposed to be perfect on the surface and dark underneath, but Bink just sounds silly.

Ditto.
It reminds me of binky (passifier), and sounds sickeneny cute -- not right for an adult villain at all imo.
That's why I chose it! :)
