I'm really liking Brendan for a boy lately. I think it's fresh without being overdone or annoyingly trendy. Opinions? Combo suggestions?

It's played-out. I get annoyed seeing parents still using names that got popular a few decades ago.

It's always struck me as a sissy name... maybe because it sounds too close to Brenda... and it's almost like Brandon (which I also find a bit to preppyish for my liking) which was WAY overdone last decade and still just doesn't do it for me.

Love Brendan. I can picture a little Brendan being read tales of St. Brendan the Navigator as bed-time stories. (Discovering America in the 6th century. Some historians believe it to be true.) Brendan is poetic and handsome. Love it.
