There was a family I saw on TV who had three sets of twins. I only saw a few minutes and didn't pay much attention, but the middle set were two very cute little boys named
Sean and ? (pronounced it like
Saoirse). I was quite confused, as to my knowledge
Saoirse is completely a girl's name.
He didn't say
Seoirse, he said
Saoirse. They were American though, so maybe they were confused or thought that no one would figure it out. It got me to thinking about how a kid with a very Irish name would do in the US. Get asked how to pronounce and spell their name a lot, I suppose.
The other twins were
Aquila and
Keanu, and
Joseph and
Christopher (all boys). Quite the mismatched lot.
