[Opinions] Kady

In all honesty, I think it looks horrible, and wouldn't use it by itself for as a nickname for anything.
In the US it still sounds wierd. It could sound like Cad-ee or Kay-dee. I think it would be mispronounced.
Like on Mean Girls
Lindsay Lohan's character was Cady and everyone called her CAD-ee instead of KAY-dee. That's what I immediately thought of when I saw Kady, I think it would be mispronounced a lot.

I like it, but I'm a bit biased - my 23 year old sister is called Kadie, and it's not short for anything. She often gets complimented on it, and it is becoming a lot more popular in Scotland. However, people do think she is called Katie or K.D. a lot (although not so much nowadays). I think it can stand alone easily.
I know a little girl...
named Cadence. Her nickname is Cady. But I'm pretty sure everyone will just assume her name is Katie. I don't like Kady on it's own. It just looks like a NN for something longer.
If you're set on it, I would use ultra classy, longer middle names, maybe along the lines of Cady Elizabeth, Cady Anneliese. Something to that effect.

no
I don't like Kady or Katy or Katie. They're all just icky-sweet little-kid-in-cough-medicine-commericals. Kady has the added disadvantage of being spelled kre8yvleigh, and as you say, it sounds the same as Katie, so it would be just another in the slew of Katies already running around. If you want to be different from all the other Katies, choose a different. name.

tritto.
agreed
but I do pronounce them differently...KAY-tee and KAY-dee....Still I really dislike both of them even as a nickname. I much prefer Kate.
