[Opinions] WDYTO Jonty?
I read it the newspaper today and really took a likeing to it. I don't hear it much; and think it is an original alternative to John or Jack as a nickname.

I don't understand the jaunty thing, it doesn't sound at all like that to me.
I do, however, think it is really overly cutesy. I suppose it's better than Jono though. I think I feel the same way about it as Violet Serene- and it's pretty trendy in NZ as well.

It is a refreshing alternative for a nickname for Jonathon, but I don't like it. Both look and sound do nothing for me.
It looks like someone trying to names their kid Jaunty, and failing at the spelling, it would be a cute nn for John though.
I find this name very odd. I can't quite put my finger on why though. I know two, both boys under 8 and maybe because of this I can't imagine it on anyone over ten.
It is way to close to jaunty.
