I've heard of it before but it sounds incomplete to me. I always want to say Genevieve or Geneva instead of just Geneve. It's okay, but I prefer the other two.

I don't think it works. Like the previous poster said it looks like a short form of Genevieve or something, which I don't like. I prefer Geneva.

I named a character in one of my stories this. It's the French version of Geneva. So it follows the place name trend, yet because it's not the English version of the city name, it doesn't seem to follow it. It sounds more like a version of Genieveve or Gweniviere. I like it.
