[Opinions] Pronunciation crisis
Well, this crisis was easier to avoid before, but now that I'm learning Russian, it's harder to ignore. I've loved the name Vladimir since I was 6 (it's probably my fave name of all time, and it has replaced Hector on my list), and I always pronounced it the English way (VLAD-ə-meer). But now I feel like that pronunciation is "wrong" and I should be saying vlah-DEE-meer. I like both, but the problem is that I'm really used to (and attached to!) the first pronunciation. What would you do in this situation?
