[Opinions] Re: Thomas or Richard?
in reply to a message by Lily8
I really don't care for Richard. It is really dated where I live. I know a lot of men who go by both Richard and Ricky, and find that the older generation tend to go by Dick or Dickie. Thomas is much more popular just now, but I find it much more pleasant. I know Thomas's of all ages who really suit it. Most use their full name, but I know some by Tommy or Tom. I think Thomas sounds younger than Richard, and I know that there are a lot more babies being called Thomas than Richard in Scotland just now. And finally, I don't like them for brotheres. Thomas, Estella, Cecily and Daisy sound right together, and Richard is the name that feels out of place to me.
