My mother is from Ireland, in the South (County Cork). She pronounces is "ASH-ling."

I'd pronounce it ASH-ling. I like ASH-leen as well,though.
I dunno whats correct, but I prefer ASH-ling.
Well I am Irish and ASH-ling is the norm. I have heard ASH-leen as well though.
I live in Ireland too and I've only ever heard it prn Ash-ling. Maybe it's a regional thing.
