Ajay is a lovely name, then, if it is given as an Indian name. I must admit that my knowledge of established Indian names is a tad rusty :)
If it's a phonetic spelling of the initials AJ, however, then I stand by my original critique.

I would bet a considerable amount of money that 99% of the Ajays outside of India were named because their parents thought it was a cool spelling of AJ.
