[Opinions] Not a fan, but not because it's a "male" name.
I just think the name is unattractive. I think Lotte is a cute-as-a-bug nickname for it, though. I like seeing Lotte used outside of the context of Charlotte. I'm feeling particularly flexible on Elliot as a gender-switcher after having seen the origin of Emmett. It's a little unusual to see a name that comes from a surname derived from a feminine name. Interesting, I think. I always pair Emmet and Elliot together as being more or less the same name because they feel exactly the same to me with their aesthetic similarities and how they "feel," if that makes sense.
