I would pronounce the ach- part almost like the
German
ach (not like K). It's kind of a glottal stop.
Also, how is
Islay
pronounced? I really like the look of it but have no idea how to pronounce it.

apparently the correct way to pronounce is like
Isla
EYE-LA (which I love as a girls name) but I really think
Islay
should be pronounced ''EYE-LAY''

Islay is definitely pronounced EYE-la, like the actual island is.

Nope. Islay is pronounced EYE-la too, believe me (or look it up ;) ).
