Reading a story today I stumbled upon the name Teal.
The character was a girl of sixteen years old.
What do you think of this name? What kind of person does it bring to mind? Any combos you can think of?

I will always think of a terribly uncouth and foul girl I know by this name.

I know a Teal
He's about 4 or 5 now I think.
I'm not a huge fan of the name but I think it works better for a girl somehow. I get a hippie kind of image from it.

I actually think it's kind of cool. I surprise myself! Only because it first makes me think of the bird. Not a bad color though, either. I'd think a person with that name would be creative, unique, and quirky. I think it'd need a more unconventional name to go with it too. I can't picture it paired with an Elizabeth or Margaret sort.

It doesn't make me think of a person at all, it makes me think of a type of bird or even just a color. I can't say I like it on a person either. I suppose I could get used to it on a male though.

I used to work with a girl named Teal. Whenever I hear that name, I think of her. I remember she really liked swimming and greenish-bluish eyes.
