I've always thought it was pronounced like the jewd (like the beginning of Judith) but I've heard the pronounciation 'jud' several times (like jud in judge). Are both correct?

"Jewd" or "jood", like the start of Judith. I have never heard jud for Jude. To me "jud" is Judd.

Yeah, "jud" would be Judd,as in Ashley Judd.

JOOD or else JEWD, depending on the dialect. But JUD? Unlikely...

I say jood (or jewd, if you prefer). I've heard of people named Jud, but I've never heard Jude pronounced like Jud. Not that I've ever met a Jude anyway.

I pronounce it the same as you, I've never heard it said any other way.
