[Opinions] Blás and Cristina
I'm really loving Spanish names right now. My favorite for a boy is Blas, which is at the intersection of two name fads for me right now (Spanish names and one-syllable names...there aren't too many in both categories). Unfortunately, it sounds super awful in English (like blah blah blahs), though it's lovely and crisp in Spanish. It also has a really unfortunate meaning. Nevertheless, thoughts on Blás? Do you prefer Blás, Blaise, or Biagio (they're cognates)? Any ideas on combos? The mn doesn't have to be Spanish, but I've found most non-Spanish names sound gross in combination with Blás.My favorite for a girl is Cristina. It's my mn, and my fn is my mother's mn, so it's always been on my serious list for a daughter. I know it's dated, and again, I prefer the Spanish pronunciation to the English, but it's still a great name, imo. Also, it's so easy to make combos for! WDYT of...
Cristina Dolores
Cristina Esther
Cristina Pilar
Cristina Rocio
Cristina SoledadAlso, any ideas for combos with non-Spanish names? Thanks so much!

I don't like Blas at all. It means taste/accent in Irish and I can't get away from that. Also I think of blah. I prefer Blaise to Blas and Biaggio.I quite like Cristina. I like Cristina Esther.

I prefer Blaise personally, but that is mainly to do with me not being at all Spanish, and also my great admiration for the work of Mr. Pascal.I'm not sure how successful I'll be here:
Blas Alberto
Blas Gonzalo
Blas Francisco (I really like this)
Blas Fernando
Blas Ernesto
Blas Faustino
Blas Manuel
Blas Raimundo
(Apparently I think it sounds good with names ending in O)Oops! I have to run now, so I can't help with Cristina other than to say I really like it as well as all of your combos, but my faves are Cristina Dolores and Cristina Pilar.

You know, Blas Francisco is one of the combos I'd come up with that I really like. I'm from San Francisco, too, so the association is just wonderful. Glad someone else likes it, too! I also love Blas Ernesto. I'm on a bit of an Ernest kick right now, and I'm surprised I hadn't taken a look at Ernesto yet. I do have an uncle named Ernesto, but I have a lot of uncles and I didn't know him especially well, so it would be weird to use it. Luckily I'm not going to have to settle on names for a looong time. Blas Manuel and Blas Raimundo are both really, really handsome. Thanks!

I prefer Blaise. Since you like Spanish names how about Blaise Emilio. Cristina is pretty. Out of your combos I like Cristina Dolores.
