I'm really loving Spanish names right now. My favorite for a boy is
Blas, which is at the intersection of two name fads for me right now (Spanish names and one-syllable names...there aren't too many in both categories). Unfortunately, it sounds super awful in English (like blah blah blahs), though it's lovely and crisp in Spanish. It also has a really unfortunate meaning. Nevertheless, thoughts on Blás? Do you prefer Blás,
Blaise, or
Biagio (they're cognates)? Any ideas on combos? The mn doesn't have to be Spanish, but I've found most non-Spanish names sound gross in combination with Blás.
My favorite for a girl is
Cristina. It's my mn, and my fn is my mother's mn, so it's always been on my serious list for a daughter. I know it's dated, and again, I prefer the Spanish pronunciation to the English, but it's still a great name, imo. Also, it's so easy to make combos for!
WDYT of...

Also, any ideas for combos with non-Spanish names?
Thanks so much!
