[Facts] Pronouncing...
....Thorliff and Hakkan? Don't know if anyone else reads Lauraine Snelling, but those two names are big in her Red River books but I never really "say" them in my head because I don't know how to "say" them. The characters are Norwegian, if that helps any.

Norwegian letters is pronounced different than in English, but I'll try to explain... Thorliff (or Thorleif in Norwegian): thor is pronounced like the "tor" in storm (or like the 'to' in town + 'r' in an american accent), and leif is pronounced like the word lay + an f. If you find the 'liff' to odd to pronounce, can you just say leaf. Hakkan (or Haakon in Norwegian): Haa is pronounced as "ho" in the word honey, and Kon as "Con" in the female name Constance or the male name Connor.I hope this helps you!!
