It looks like a misspelling of geode.

I don't like the look of it and to be honest I first thought it was a creative spelling of Jude. I like the way it sounds though. Why not use Jode instead or another spelling (Joed?)?

Isn't that a character from Eragon? I don't like that book, but the name is interesting otherwise.
