I have heard of it before. I like it, but at the same time I think it could seem too much like the word merit in English. I like it better than Margot, but probably not as much as Marguerite.

I've never heard it before, but it looks lovely on paper! I'm curious as to how it's pronounced. I can't really say if I like it without the proper pronunciation.
I think it's usable, but little Maret is going to have to specify pronunciation a lot. It's a little hard to grasp at first glance. I prefer it to Margaret and Marguerite. I'd tie it with Margot and Margaretha.

I've never heard of it before. It's really neat. I think it's usable because it doesn't look too confusing, although I'd pronounce it MAYR-et (like the word merit) instead of MAR-et, and I think a lot of people would too. So you'd just have to correct them.
Margaret is my all time favorite name, and I love most forms of it. I think Maret is a nice one. It seems fresher because it's short and simple. It's similar to Mared, which I also really like.
