I've seen OY-rik, or something to that extent as the pronunciation in several different places. (The comment on it here being one of them). I've also seen EF-rik.
I've encountered names before where the Anglicization seemed a bit of a stretch from the original. Maybe not as much as Effie from Oighrig, but still.

I don't know if it's right though. Random websites you find with google aren't necessarily credible sources. But it would explain it, so maybe it is a possible pronunciation.
