Yes, I've heard it before. The first time I heard it was when "Melrose Place" was on the air, the second time was from that chick from "America's Next Top Model" who happened to be named Melrose. Her birth name was Melissa Rose, though.

Honestly, I can't take it seriously. I think it sounds too nickname-y.

It automatically makes me think of Melrose Abbey. Melrose is a place name in Scotland and I think its beautiful as a name! I would think a Melrose would be classy and yet have a wild streak to her personality at the same time.

There was an America's Next Top Model contestant who combined two parts of her name to make Melrose, and have a name that stands out more. She was a bit of a b****. I never watched Melrose Place, so the one I mentioned comes to mind first.

I can't get past Melrose Place. Otherwise, I suppose it has a nice sound to it. But I just can't imagine it as a name.

I'd expect Melrose to be beautiful, and always entangled in all sorts of sordid affairs. Simply can't get past the Melrose Place association.

It reminds me of, "Melrose Place". I'd much prefer, Primrose.
