[Opinions] Sophie
What do you think of the name Sophie?

It's pretty and I think it is underrated because of Sophia. I have a cousin with the name.
I love it, by itself. Sophie isn't a nickname for Sophia to me; Sophie is the French form. I think it's both fun and sophisticated and will grow with her beautifully. It's a future daughter name option for me, like number 4 or 5 on my list.
Edit: My top combo is Sophie Madelieve. I might add a third name in there though. Madelieve is an elaboration of Madelief. VERY uncommon.

I prefer Sophia.
I think it is pretty and cute, but childish. I prefer Sophia, although I find that a little frilly. The main plus of Sophie/Sophia is the meaning. I adore the meaning and the history. Generally I prefer it as a mn, but it is perfectly okay as a fn on someone else's child
It's cute. Too common for me to use, but it's nice. :)
I like it alot. It's very chic and has a French feel. I don't mind that it's popular because it's classic and timeless. Great meaning too.

I love it as a NN for Sophia. On it's own, it lacks presence.
I love the name Sophie, however would never use it because it is too popular for my liking. Plus in 2006 my cousin named her little girl Sophi. Yeah spelled like that..

It all depends on what its for. But personally, it either sounds like a little girl's name, and innocent girl's name, or a dog's name.
