I'm wondering what everyone thinks of the name Elmyn (made up?) I came across a 4-5(?) year old child (m) named that. And yes, I asked the spelling. Thanks!

4-5 year old child? Male or female. The created name doesn't help me much either to figure it out.
Created names irritate me. *sigh* Emlyn (male) would have been so much better for a boy. Why do people insist on making up silly names when there are so many great buried classic treasures waiting to be rediscovered?
