The meaning is a bit unclear but it is possible that it derives from the word "blända" (pronounced the same as Blenda) meaning 'dazzle'. Blenda could be related to 'dazzling beauty'.

Again, the meaning of Beda is a bit unclear. It could originally be an English masculine name. There was an English Benedictine monk named Beda Venerabilis (672 - 735) who wrote about the history of the English people. However, in English his name was Bede and not Beda. Beda could derive from the Swedish verb "be" or "bedja" (occasionally spelt without J - beda) meaning pray.
eta: Oh, it seems like the "pray" meaning could be correct. If you look up Bede it gives you more information.
