[Opinions] Peregrine
WDYTO Peregrine for a boy? I asked about it a while ago and it got many negative reactions but now I am starting to really like it again.Any middle name suggestions? Also, which way do you prefer it pronounced? PER-ə-grin or PER-ə-green?Thank you.

I kinda like it. I've never thought about it much, but it has a good association for me (the hobbit from LOTR). Like Gigi I do think 'fool of a Took' though lol, but it's a sort of half-smiling 'fool of a Took'. So yeah I guess I do like it.I would pronounce it PAIR-uh-grin, not with 'per' as the first syllable. Some combos:
Peregrine Percival
Peregrine Theodore
Peregrine Phoenix
Peregrine Harry
Peregrine Julian
Peregrine Oscar
Peregrine Francis
Peregrine Lachlan
Peregrine George
Peregrine James
Peregrine Yves
Peregrine Wilding
Peregrine Quentin
Peregrine Roald
Peregrine LinusAnything take your fancy?

I love this name! I always thought that a boy named Peregrine would make a good twin for a boy named Meriwether. They would be pranksters, with the nicknames Merri and Pip (or Pippin)! Pip/Pippin for Peregrine, of course.
I pronounce it PER-ə-grin.
Try Peregrine George, Alexander, James, whatever works.

HahaYou are very right about the twinset. I like to put Peregrine in a triplet set with Ferdinand and Constantine.

I used to dislike it, but it grew on me and suddenly became one of my very favorites. I love it with NN Perry. I alternate between -green and -grin, and don't think it's necessary to prefer one over the other, even in practical application. My combination is Peregrine Mount or Peregrine Mount Alexander, Mount being a family surname.Other combinations:Ezra Peregrine
Felix Peregrine
George PeregrinePeregrine Felix
Peregrine Julius
Peregrine Frost
Peregrine Foxglove
Peregrine George
Peregrine Linden
Peregrine Robert
