[Opinions] Oliwia
I love Olivia but am finding it is rather common so when I found Oliwia I was delighted. I like it maybe even more than Olivia. It is pronounced aw-LEEV-yah. WDYT?

Ehh..I understand the popularity issue of Olivia, and I like the pronounciation, but it just looks funny to me.
Other possible substitute names:
>Olive -- I quite like this one! And the olive branch/peace thing is pretty cool too. Olive Sakina Pax, Olive Pacífica, or Olive Irina Paz would be awesome combos!
>Olivie -- Ahh, that french sound.. (: Cool combos: Olivie Apolline or Olive Marguerite Fabienne.
>Olivera "Livvy" -- for those with exotic taste. Also, Ottilie reminds me a bit of that style. Any chance you like it? Other "O" names I am fond of include: Octavia / Ottavia, Ottoline, Ophelia, Océane, Odessa, Olena, Olympia, Omega, Ossia, and Oxana. Maybe that will be helpful..?

I think it's very pretty looking, and the sound is pretty too. I used to like Olivia but it's boring to me now, so Oliwia is a nice alternative.

Do you live in the U.S.? If you do, it might be difficult to explain to people-over and over again-that no, her name is NOT Olivia, and no, it is NOT pronounced like Olivia with a "W".

I don't. I understand that problem but I just ove the name.

Sorry I thought it was a typo of Olivia when I first saw it. I couldn't tell if it was 2 v's or a w either until I clicked the link. I must say, I dislike popular names, but I'd rather use Olivia than Oliwia, because she would be constantly correcting people.

Coming from a large Polish community, the name is no more uncommon than its counterpart Olivia. I am sick of the name Olivia quite honestly, and if you live in Chicago where Oliwia is popular among Polish immigrants, and Olivia popular among everyone else, you would find it no more refreshing.
