Wayne was my late Pop's name. I think it's got a bit of pizzaz but he loathed it, so it's off limits for me. I alos have a cousin who married a lovely Wayne, so maybe for my grandkids.

I dislike it, but it's my husband's grandfather's name.

Definitely not. I can only think of a joke involving John Wayne, John Rolfe, and Pocahontas.

Feels really shabby. I love lots of dated names but not this surname and it was used on so many men over the 1940s and 50s. I also thought John Wayne was a terrible actor with (to poach from Harry Potter) the emotional range of a teaspoon and I blame him for inspiring a lot of use.

Reminds me of a grungy, beer drinking, NASCAR enthusiast, that rocks a mullet from the 80s. Not saying I have anything against NASCAR enthusiasts... just mullets.

I can't see it fitting a little boy, but that's okay cause he would grow into it. My clarinet teacher's name was Wayne so it seems kind of cool and artsy to me really. It's also a really strong name. I'm not personally a fan, but I would LOVE to see it used.

I'm not terribly fond of it. It is by no means bad, however.

I have mixed feelings about it. I like quite a few W names: Wade, Wyatt, Warren, Wesley, William. Because of this, I should like it, but there is a person with this name who is a negative association for me.
