I am familiarizing myself with this opera, Alcina, by Handel, and I think it is a somewhat pretty name. Alcina is a sorceress who rules over an island, and it is based off of a Greek myth. It's pronounced al-CHEE-nuh (because the opera is in Italian and that is how they pronounce it in Italian), but the name is originally Greek and pronounced al-SEE-nuh, which I think it slightly less heavy.
