[Opinions] Isabella
I know it's terribly common, but what do you think of Isabella?
Which is your favorite nickname for it? Izzy, Bella, Isa or Belle?
How many Isabellas do you know? Is it getting common where you live? Do you know any older Isabellas or only young children? Any who spelled it Isabela?
Do you think its too common to be used? How about using it as a middle name?
What do you think of my combo Noah Isabella Aimée (em-MAY)? Do you think it flows well? Do the names go together?
Do you prefer Isabel to Isabella? How would you spell Isabel?
Do you prefer Isadora to Isabella? Do you pronounce Isidora and Isadora the same? Which one do you prefer?
If you prefer Isabel or Isadora, is it only because you think Isabella is too common or do you really prefer the sound?
Thanks :)

- I really like it. I wouldn't actually use it as a first name, though.
Which is your favorite nickname for it? Izzy, Bella, Isa or Belle?
- Bella.
How many Isabellas do you know? Is it getting common where you live? Do you know any older Isabellas or only young children? Any who spelled it Isabela?
- I only know a couple young Isabellas. It's not common in my area. I've never seen it spelled Isabela.
Do you think its too common to be used? How about using it as a middle name?
- It could be used as a first name if you don't mind the popularity. However, I do, so I want to use it as a middle name.
What do you think of my combo Noah Isabella Aimée (em-MAY)? Do you think it flows well? Do the names go together?
- I like it, but I think Noah Aimée Isabella flows better. Noah does stick out a little, though.
Do you prefer Isabel to Isabella? How would you spell Isabel?
- I prefer Isabella slightly more. I also prefer Isabelle to Isabel.
Do you prefer Isadora to Isabella? Do you pronounce Isidora and Isadora the same? Which one do you prefer?
- I prefer Isabella to Isadora. I pronounce Isidora and Isadora the same, but prefer Isidora.

I think isabella is pretty. I like bella as a nn. I only know one isabel who is 16 it's not too common here. My grandmothers name was violet isabella though. I think it works as a fn or mn. Your combo flows pretty well but I'm not a fan of Noah being used for girls. I prefer Isabella over isabel and isadora by far.
I know it's terribly common, but what do you think of Isabella?
I used to find it too frilly and fussy, but it has grown on me. I think it's pretty, but still not something I would use.
Which is your favorite nickname for it? Izzy, Bella, Isa or Belle?
I prefer it without a nickname, but if I had to choose, probably Bella or Isa.
How many Isabellas do you know? Is it getting common where you live? Do you know any older Isabellas or only young children? Any who spelled it Isabela?
I hear it quite a bit, but I can't think of anyone I actually know who has the name Isabella.
Do you think its too common to be used? How about using it as a middle name?
It's too common for me to consider. I think it would be fine to use it as a middle name though. Middle name popularity bothers me much less than first name popularity.
What do you think of my combo Noah Isabella Aimée (em-MAY)? Do you think it flows well? Do the names go together?
Noah is NMS, but I think that Isabella Aimée is pretty. Noah doesn't seem to fit.
Do you prefer Isabel to Isabella? How would you spell Isabel?
I prefer Isabel to Isabella. Isabel sounds less frilly to me. As for spelling, I prefer Isabelle.
Do you prefer Isadora to Isabella? Do you pronounce Isidora and Isadora the same? Which one do you prefer?
Isadora is lovely. I prefer it to Isabella and Isabel. I pronounce Isidora and Isadora the same, but I prefer Isadora.

That, like you said, it's common. I'd use Isadora or Arabella much quicker than Isabella.Isa is pretty, and you hear Bella a lot, so that's nicer. Especially if the I is pronounced like EE.I'm not sure how many Isabella's I know, but it sure is cropping up quickly. I don't know any Isabela's.I like the form Isabelle best. Also, the Irish and Scottish forms are pretty cool (Isobel, Iseabail, Ishbel, Isibeal, etc.)
Yeahhh, I wouldn't use it. And personally, I'd use the mn space as a place to give names that either you just need to fit into the combo somehow because you undyingly love it, or because it's too pretentious/unusual for a fn.

I know it's terribly common, but what do you think of Isabella?
It's pretty but sounds over-the-top. I'm very surprised it became popular. I recently met a little demon child named Isabella - terribly unruly, horrific screech...tried to steal my daughter's cup at play group, while her mom sits by clueless...needless to say that sort of turned me off the name a little bit.
Which is your favorite nickname for it? Izzy, Bella, Isa or Belle? Isa
How many Isabellas do you know? Is it getting common where you live? Do you know any older Isabellas or only young children? Any who spelled it Isabela?
You know, despite its popularity, I can only think of one, the little demon I mentioned before. She's 2.
Do you think its too common to be used? How about using it as a middle name?
If I wanted to use it, I would use it as a middle name at this point due to extreme popularity.
What do you think of my combo Noah Isabella Aimée (em-MAY)? Do you think it flows well? Do the names go together?
I don't like Noah on a girl so that kind of ruins the combo for me, more than Isabella, although I do like Aimee...but the only name I like in that combo is dead last!!!
Do you prefer Isabel to Isabella? How would you spell Isabel?
I much prefer Isabel, and like Isobel the best.
Do you prefer Isadora to Isabella? Do you pronounce Isidora and Isadora the same? Which one do you prefer?
I much prefer Isadora as well, and I do pronounce them the same, but still prefer Isadora.
If you prefer Isabel or Isadora, is it only because you think Isabella is too common or do you really prefer the sound?
No - I feel the "ella" ending makes Isabella the frilliest of the 3, and while I love feminine names, once they get too frilly I get turned off.

I used to be a bit 'meh' about it, coz I read so many in the BAs where I live, then I met a really awesome little girl with the name and she made me like it more. It's still not a favourite, but I like it.
I love the nn Izzy/Izzie. I had a dog called Izzy (not short for anything, but named (by me) after my toy glowworm called Izziga (a name I'm pretty sure I made up!)) so the name has good associations for me.
I know three Isabellas, all under the age of 9. I've seen lots more in the BAs for my city though.
I don't think it's necessarily too common to be used. It would put me off it, but I'm sure it wouldn't put others off it, which is the main thing. Isabella would be fine as a mn, maybe better due to its commonness.
Yup it flows well. I think Isabella Aimee (can't work out accents sorry lol) are a little odd-sounding with Noah. Partly because I always picture Noah as being an old beardy guy. Spelling it Noa would help, but I'm still not sure that Noa looks 'girly' enough to fit with Isabella and Aimee (which are both obviously feminine names, just by their endings) (I'm not saying that girly is a bad or good thing, just that it's a thing lol). Something like Zoe or Aoife or Cara would work better IMO (not necessarily one of those names, but something like that).
Yes I prefer Isabel to Isabella. It's just a little less floral. I normally prefer -bel endings to -bella, which is a little odd since I really like -tta endings. I can never decide whether I like Isobel or Isabel better, I fluctuate a lot. Today I prefer Isabel.
No I do not prefer Isadora. I find it a bit posh-sounding and OTT (I have that with all -dora names). That said I like the look of Isadora over Isidora (but I pronounce them the same way).
I think I already answered your last question :)

I know it's terribly common, but what do you think of Isabella?
I think it is pretty, but I think the popularity killed it a bit for me. It seemed to get popular here, especially among parents who have any sort of Italian heritage. There are so many other Italian names that could have been chosen instead, but Isabella seems like the default name.
Which is your favorite nickname for it? Izzy, Bella, Isa or Belle?
I guess I like Izzy or Isa the best. I always found Bella and Belle too silly since both just mean "beautiful." I'm really not particularly fond of any of the nicknames though.
How many Isabellas do you know? I don't know any personally. Is it getting common where you live? It seems pretty popular here. I hear it when I am out and about.
Do you think its too common to be used? How about using it as a middle name? I think I would like to see it in the middle name slot for a change, thus avoiding the use of any of its nicknames. I don't think it is too common to be used, although it will probably become as dated as my name.
What do you think of my combo Noah Isabella Aimée (em-MAY)? Do you think it flows well? Do the names go together?
It flows well, but I don't think the names go together at all.
Do you prefer Isabel to Isabella? How would you spell Isabel?
I prefer Isabel to Isabella and I prefer it spelled that way. I really like the Spanish pronunciation, so that is why I prefer that spelling.
Do you prefer Isadora to Isabella? Do you pronounce Isidora and Isadora the same? Which one do you prefer?
I do prefer Isadora to Isabella because it is less common, but I prefer Isidora to Isadora because it is the original. I don't pronounce Isidora and Isadora the same.
If you prefer Isabel or Isadora, is it only because you think Isabella is too common or do you really prefer the sound?
I'm not sure. I think I'm just so tired of hearing Bella that Isabel and Isadora sound better to me. I'm not sure if that would be the case if Isabella were not popular.

I like a lot of Is- names (Isadora, Ismene, Isobel, Isabel, Isolde, Isidore) but I've never really enjoyed Isabella. I don't like the Bella sound. But it's pretty.
Hate Bella. Like Izzy and Isa. Belle is okay.
I know more older Isobel / Isabel / Isabelles than Isabellas. I probably know a handful of Isabellas older than 12. They're all Italian I'm pretty sure. But yeah, a LOT of young Isabellas.
Too common here. It could be a pretty middle name.
I like Isabella in the mn spot. Aimee softens it but not huge on Noah in the combo.
Much prefer Isabel. Probably spelled Isobel. (My best friend's name.)
I love Isadora, probably just because a) I adore Isidore on a boy and b) it doesn't have the Bella sound!
Much prefer the sound. Helps that they aren't as common, but that was like Emily and Emma when I was growing up. And growing up in a VERY Italian Catholic community in Melbourne, it sounds weird to me having all these little blonde pale Bellas running around.

I know it's terribly common, but what do you think of Isabella?
-It's a pretty name, just wearing thin on me right now. My teacher just had a baby Isabella (Bella)
Which is your favorite nickname for it? Izzy, Bella, Isa or Belle?
-Belle
How many Isabellas do you know? Is it getting common where you live? Do you know any older Isabellas or only young children? Any who spelled it Isabela?
-Three, one was born in May, one is around 4 or 5, one should be 10-13 now I haven't seen her since she was a little girl
Do you think its too common to be used? How about using it as a middle name?
-Nope, perfectly fine name but I'm not as obsessed with having my kid being the ONLY kid in their class with his/her name. Middle name is just as fine.
What do you think of my combo Noah Isabella Aimée (em-MAY)? Do you think it flows well? Do the names go together?
- Noah looks so weird there. I don't think Aimee fits well.
Do you prefer Isabel to Isabella? How would you spell Isabel?
- I don't know. But I prefer Isabelle to both though. Isabel I'm iffy about. I like Isolde too.
Do you prefer Isadora to Isabella? Do you pronounce Isidora and Isadora the same? Which one do you prefer?
-I don't really prefer one to the other. I'd pronounce Isidora with an i and Isadora with an a so... no. Out of those two, Isadora.

I think Isabella is a fairly nice name, but it is a bit too popular right now.
Which is your favorite nickname for it? Izzy, Bella, Isa or Belle?
Not terribly fond of any of the nicknames, but if I really had to choose I'd go with Belle.
How many Isabellas do you know? Is it getting common where you live? Do you know any older Isabellas or only young children? Any who spelled it Isabela?
I don't know any Isabellas, but my sister who runs a preschool has several pupils with the name, and I have a few Victorian Isabellas in my family tree (and Isabelles)
Do you think its too common to be used? How about using it as a middle name?
I think it would make a perfectly good middle name.
What do you think of my combo Noah Isabella Aimée (em-MAY)? Do you think it flows well? Do the names go together?
Noah is a boy's name. Noa Isabella sounds okay, not sure Aimée works with those names.
Do you prefer Isabel to Isabella? How would you spell Isabel?
I used to like Isabel a lot until it became so very popular. I know several Isabelles, two Isobels and an Ysabel (who is Spanish) - but would probably go for Isabel if I were to use it.
Do you prefer Isadora to Isabella? Do you pronounce Isidora and Isadora the same? Which one do you prefer?
Isadora reminds me of Isadora Duncan who was decapitated when her scarf got caught in her car, which is somewhat off-putting. Isidora is possibly better, and yes I do pronounce them differently.
I think Isabella is a fairly nice name, but it is a bit too popular right now.

Isabella used to be a favourite of mine and I can see why it's so popular at the moment. I like it but I'm a little bored of it, I'd probably use it in the middle name slot :)
Which is your favorite nickname for it? Izzy, Bella, Isa or Belle?
Isa. It's alot prettier and less harsh sounding than Izzy and I dislike Bella due to the Twilight connotations.
How many Isabellas do you know? Is it getting common where you live? Do you know any older Isabellas or only young children? Any who spelled it Isabela?
I don't know any Isabella's personally, although I have heard it A LOT on babies and younger children recently so I'd say yes, it is getting common where I live.
Do you think its too common to be used? How about using it as a middle name?
I don't think it's too common to be used, if you love it enough to use it then go for it :) Like I said before, due to the popularity I'd personally prefer to use it as a middle name :)
What do you think of my combo Noah Isabella Aimée (em-MAY)? Do you think it flows well? Do the names go together?
I'm loving Noah on girls at the moment! and Noah Isabella sounds lovely. I'm not too keen on Aimee in this case, I think Noah Isabella is enough :)
Do you prefer Isabel to Isabella? How would you spell Isabel?
I prefer Isabella, Isabel is nice but a little boring.

It's on my personal name list I love the name.
It works for a child with a nickname and can be very formal for an adult.
Izzy or Bella
I know 1 Isabella and she is 19.
I know a few Isabelles, Isabels and Isobels
Isabella is not very common and I prefer this
I don't like it as a middle name I think it is too long
Noah Isabella Aimée - Noah?? for a girl. If you get rid of the Noah I love the combo
Isabella is the best spelling in my oppinion
Isabella - Lovely
Isadora - :( don't like it
Isabel - :/ ok prefer Isobel

I know it's terribly common, but what do you think of Isabella?
-Yes, it IS terribly common, and I'm afraid this has colored my overall opinion of the name. It's currently ranked at #2 in the U.S. charts, so it seems every female baby is named Isabella. I'm tired of hearing it, really. I wish people would think of something else.
What is your favorite nickname for it? Izzy, Bella, or Belle?
-Belle. Izzy sounds flaky and unreliable, and Bella sounds melodramatic and wannabe goth. Belle, on the other hand, always makes me smile with it's simplicity.
How many Isabellas do you know? Is it getting common where you live? Do you know any older Isabellas or only young children? Any who spell it Isabela?
-I know four Isabellas under the age of six, with another on the way. It is very common where I live-I believe it's #1 in my state. I've never met a grown-up Isabella, and I've never seen it spelled Isabela.
What do you think of Noah Isabella Aimee (em-MAY)? Do you think it flows well? Do the names go together?
-Sorry, but I don't like the combo at all. I think Noah is strictly male; Noa is feminine. Noa Isabella would be all right, but the Aimee just ruins it, IMO. It sounds tacked-on.
Do you prefer Isabel to Isabella? How do you spell Isabel?
-Yes, I do. I like Isabel, but I'm also fond of Isobel.

What do you think of Isabella? I think it's a beautiful name.
Which is your favorite nickname for it? Bella.
How many Isabellas do you know? Is it getting common where you live? Do you know any older Isabellas or only young children? Any who spelled it Isabela? I know maybe six or seven individuals with the name. I'm not really sure of common names in my area and although statistics show the name is becoming increasingly popular, I don't think it's anymore than various other names. The majority I know are 10 and under but I have a friend named Isabel and my aunt's name is Isobel. As far as the spelling, I know four that spell it Isabella, one who spells it Isabela and one who spells it Izabella.
Do you think its too common to be used? How about using it as a middle name? I think it's great as a first name or middle name. If you really love a name, popularity shouldn't change your opinion.
What do you think of my combo Noah Isabella Aimée (em-MAY)? Do you think it flows well? Do the names go together? The names go fairly well together but I don't like Noah on a girl.
Do you prefer Isabel to Isabella? How would you spell Isabel? I prefer Isabella. If I did choose Isabel, I'd spell it Isabelle. I like Belle as a nick name.
Do you prefer Isadora to Isabella? Do you pronounce Isidora and Isadora the same? Which one do you prefer? I prefer Isabella. I pronounce Isidora with emhasis on the short "i" vowel sound. I pronounce Isadora which emphasis on the short "a" vowel sound. The two sound very similar. I prefer Isadora to Isidora.
Which is your favorite nickname for it? Bella.

I know it's terribly common, but what do you think of Isabella? Love it.
Which is your favorite nickname for it? Izzy, Bella, Isa or Belle? Isa, or Izzy
How many Isabellas do you know? Is it getting common where you live? Do you know any older Isabellas or only young children? Any who spelled it Isabela? Two Isabella's. I know more Izabelle/Isabelle's though
Do you think its too common to be used? How about using it as a middle name? No it's not. Go ahead
What do you think of my combo Noah Isabella Aimée (em-MAY)? Do you think it flows well? Do the names go together? I think it's very weird to spell Noah with an H for a girl. Noa Isabella would be great. Aimée is also okey, but not pronounced like that
Do you prefer Isabel to Isabella? How would you spell Isabel? I love them both. I spell it Isabel
Do you prefer Isadora to Isabella? Do you pronounce Isidora and Isadora the same? Which one do you prefer? No, but I like them both. Prefer Isadora over Isidora and I don't prn them the same
If you prefer Isabel or Isadora, is it only because you think Isabella is too common or do you really prefer the sound? Isabel.

I know it's terribly common, but what do you think of Isabella?
I don't really like it.
Which is your favorite nickname for it? Izzy, Bella, Isa or Belle?
Bella. I love Bella! Isa is nice, too.
How many Isabellas do you know? Is it getting common where you live? Do you know any older Isabellas or only young children? Any who spelled it Isabela?
Many. All young children.
Do you think its too common to be used? How about using it as a middle name?
Anything goes as a middle name, in my opinion. I slso don't think you shouldn't use a name just because of its popularity.
What do you think of my combo Noah Isabella Aimée (em-MAY)? Do you think it flows well? Do the names go together?
I love Noah Isabella but Aimee looks out of place.

I love the name Isabella, it sounds so elegant and also a little cheerful, but I think it's getting far too popular, especially in the United States. In a few years there will be Isabellas over Isabellas in every kindergarten. But I would still think about using it as a middle name. In Germany where I live it's just beginning to become so popular, I don't know any Isabellas, just a Isabelle.
Izzy is the nickname I would like to use most, because it sounds so bubbly and I like that.
I've always thought of Noah as a male name, but I like it in combination with Isabella and Aimée. It sounds very pretty and it rolls off the tongue very lightly.

I love Isabella. I can't decide between Izzy, Bella, or Isa for it, but I love all those nicknames.
It's common where I live. I know at least one baby Isabella. I don't know any who spell it Isabela but I think it's really pretty that way.
I probably wouldn't use it because I love so many names more, but it's so beautiful I celebrate to see it used at all. It's great as a middle name.
I don't know if I prefer Isabel or Isabella, but I love both. I like Isabel spelled Isabel, Isabell, and Isabelle, but think Isobel is silly and pretentious.
Isabella's better than Isadora. I pronounce Isidora and Isadora slightly differently, and may prefer Isidora.
I used to pretend I preferred Isidora, because it was less common, but I was lying to myself. :)
