Help[Opinions] WDYTO Seth??
So hubby and i finally decided on Seth for a boy, as thats what we think we're having, he will be a little brother for Alex.
I was talking to my parents, and they both hate the name, though they couldn't justify why.
Do you think i can still use the name, knowing my parents don't like it? Should i just hope it grows on them?
I was wondering what other people thought of it, how it goes with Alex, any suggestions for a good sibset, and any middle names.
We try to go with classic names, that aren't too common and are appropriate for a person of any age.

Sorry to tell you, but I really dislike Seth too. I really dislike the sound of it. It's so short and harsh. I also am turned off by the image it gives me: it just has this mean/evil feeling to it.
I think it goes okay with Alex since they're both short and simple. I'd use the name no matter what your parents think, though, as long as you are 100% sure that's the name you want to use. If it's just one you're really considering but there are other options, then I would definitely take into consideration how close family feels. They're going to have to live with the name too.

I LOVE Seth! I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't. :P
Seth and Alex sound like a good sibset to me. I wouldn't let your parents opinion get in the way of you naming your child. Although I haven't had to deal with that yet because I don't have children, what I plan to name my kids is my choice not theirs. Let them grow on the name and definitely use Seth if that's what you love.
My favorite combo is Seth Ezekiel. I also like Seth Isaac, Seth Elliot, Seth Elias, and Seth Micah.
