[Opinions] I prefer Homeros

Homeros = literature to me, while Homer = Simpsons.

I didn't even know that was a real name!
It does sound very ancient to me, but then, it also sounds like when I try to make up my own Latin names for things. I think I might like plain old Homer better, Simpsons and all.

Actually
Homer is the adjusted version, that's why I never liked it. I don't understand why the -os / -us had to be cut off. (same with Neptune / Neptunus, Saturn / Saturnus, Herod / Herodes, what's so bad about the -us -os -es that it always has to be cut off?) I prefer original forms like Hemeros, and could live with Latinized Homerus, but Homer? No.
