It's nice enough but I personally wouldn't use it as I automatically think of the Roma (gypsy) ethnic group

It's pretty, but I really can't think of anything but the tomato when I hear it.

I prefer it on a girl! I also love Romy as a nn for Rosemary, so I do enjoy the sound and feel of Roma. I know it's an ethnic group AND a city but it's very pretty and dignified.
