[Opinions] I think my Opa had a dog named this?
At least, it sounded like this. But he wasn't Indonesian, so it must be a coincidence. It's a pretty name, I like the way it sounds. It has a sparkle to it. On the other hand, there is something too clean about; it's so crisp that it sounds like the name of a company, car model or product. I'm not sure how I feel about this one. Sorry, that wasn't very helpful at all, was it! :/

Might the dog's name have been Senta? Sinta:
The first thing that came to my mind was Sinterklaas, the Dutch "Santa Claus".
I think the sound is alright, but I really dislike the meaning.

could have been!I only vaguely recall the dog - I don't even know if it was male or female, it died when I was quite young. But I remember chasing after it calling "Sun-ta! Sun-ta!" Poor puppy. My Opa was Dutch, and spoke German too, so Senta is definitely a possibility.

Was it an Alsatian? ;)
Senta is one of the most popular and typical dog names in Germany (alongside Asta, Rex, Hasso, Bello,....)Wow, that was really off-topic.
Sorry!
