Jemima Chloe is a twelve-year-old girl from England. She has been orphaned and living in the slums for the past few years until she was rescued by the government to be adopted. Diana Susie is Jemima's thirteen-year-old friend. She met Jemima when she was living in the alleys and befriended her. She is a more quiet girl with some traces of violence, but usually remains level-headed and practical. Like Jemima, Di loves music, and she also has a soft spot for pastries, as she remembered her grandmother used to make them before she died and Di was forced to live in the streets.
