I was able to find the family on a census record. Their names differed from the names above, given to them at baptism.
Lucien, 45
Marie, 39
Joseph, 21
Thérèse, 17
Laure, 16
Gaston, 14
Pierre, 13
Sophie, 11
Lea, 10
Phebe, 10
Francois, 5
Celine, 4
Zoe had not been born yet.
:Notes:
Eulalie and Euphemie were born almost two days apart. They were also baptized on separate days. For some reason unknown to me, Zoé only received one name.
Some of these names are too cool. Among my favorites are
Lucien and Melanise but I think they all are unique and classic French-Canadian.
WDYT? Would you use any of these combos name for name? Which names are you most drawn to? How would you incorporate them into a combo of your own?
