What do you think of Joy for a girl? I used to think it was dated but now I think it's adorable.
Maybe it's because I found my old Shirley Temple (loved her movies as a child) collection and watched Bright Eyes today. You know, one of the characters is a little girl named Joy who is actually an angry and spoiled brat but I thought the name was so ironic and hilarious on her that I started to like it. Weird, I know :P
Do you think it's too plain and simple or too dated? Do you think it belongs in the same category as names like Faith, Grace and Hope? It surprises me that it isn't more popular it seems to fit in with those names. Do you see it rising again?
Oh and do you know anyone named Joy? First or middle name? Do you think it's a common middle name?
