Instantly reminded me of a hen - Gallina is also hen in Italia.
To the majority of the population this wouldn't be an issue, but I instantly thought of this! lol I would still think its alright to use though - unless you happen to live in a heavily Italian or Spanish populated area.

I know that the Spanish gallina is pronounced differently than Galina - gie-YEE-na versus ga-LEE-na. How is the Italian pronounced?
