According to the pronunciation key, ie is a long i as in bite or kind. I've only ever heard Bryony pronounced BREE-oh-nee before, so it's odd to me to pronounce it that way.

This has been discussed before, and the almost unanimous agreement among people who actually knew a Bryony, was that it was "Brian + -ee."
I'm sure it's true. I just haven't heard it before. I live in the U.S. and things do tend to get mispronounced around here.
