I've always thought it was adorable and upbeat. I think it must be a nn though... can't stand on its own. My favorite spelling is Abbie, but I also like the look of Abbey, even though it's a word. Abby is okay too, but I don't like Abbi or Abbe, which I've also seen.

I know several Abigails of various ages, but I don't know anyone named only Abbie.
