What do you think of Makena pr. mah-KAY-na (which would be the German pronunciation)?

Do you think people would say McKenna a lot? I also like the McKenna pronunciation and I like Makenna as well but prefer Makena (mah-KAY-na).

Makena is an African name (I believe from Kenya and unisex there).

I would instantly assume Makena is pronounced Mah-ken-uh. I do not care for the name, it sounds a little harsh in my opinion.

I'm in the U.S., and the first thing that came to mind was mah-KAY-nah. I think it avoids it pretty well.

If you are in Germany, then fine. But if you're in Canada or the U.S. (or possibly even the U.K.), then McKenna confusion could set in.

In the States, it would definitely be pronounced mah-KEN-ah (Makenna) thanks to all the variant names out there.
