[Opinions] Armory
Today I caught up with an old friend who has a son named Armory Jaxon. He's about 6 months old. Her name is Ashley and her fiance is Jack (hence Jaxon). I'm really not sure how I feel about it. What do you think of it?I've always been a fan of Emery... which is kind of similar I guess.

Armory actually sounds pretty nice as a name, but the meaning of the word makes it so it should be unusable.

Not the worst name in the world. I could grow to like it (much better than if they had named their kid "Arsenal"...) I don't see what's wrong with Jackson though.

Armory is just a random word that's been turned into a name. I don't like it. :/I don't like Jaxon all that much, but I do prefer this spelling to Jackson.

Armory makes me think of the character Armory Loch in the series A Song Of Ice And Fire, and that one is not a pleasant character. I honestly don't care for it, be it the association with armour or a grisly character. Jaxon is okay but I'd have prefered Jackson - I'm not really a big fan of excessive use of Xs.

I don't think that works, though I do like Emory and ADORE Elery.

Armory is horrible. I'm sorry but I just think it's the name of a place to store weapons, not a name for a cute little baby. Jaxon is not too bad, although Jackson would be better.

I don't know how I feel about it either. I guess it's kind of cool in its own way, and it's a lot better than Jaxon, but still, I'm not sure. I do like the way the Spanish word for locker sounds (armario, I think it means locker), but... it means locker. :P

Like, a place where you keep your weapons before battle? Weird. It's got a pleasant sound, but so do the words androgyny and syzygy and aphasia, but I wouldn't use them as names. As for Jaxon, that spelling was the butt of a joke in Mark Twain's Huck Finn. Huck claims his name is George Jackson, and when another boy is asked to spell it, he says J-A-X-O-N. Huck then writes down this spelling in case he needs to remember it. Very funny book.

Armory is a place where arms are made or stored. I'm not a fan.
