The Princess Elizabeth was safely delivered of a daughter, the second child for her and her husband The Prince Maximilian. Her Royal Highness The Princess Astrid Elizabeth Charlotte Mary joins brother Prince Alexander, 3, and is third-in-line to the throne. Her first name is that of her godmother, Queen Astrid of Sweden; her middle names honour her mother and her two grandmothers.
Astrid is a thriving child, much unlike her fragile and sickly older brother. Sascha adores his sister and is quite protective of her.
Meanwhile, the marriage of Prince Louis and Archduchess Eleonore has taken place. Eleonore fell immediately in love with her handsome husband, but the feelings aren't mutual; in fact, despite being respectful of his wife, Louis feels trapped within an arranged marriage; particulary because he has fallen for his childhood friend, a "mere" Lady Theodora ('Teddy') Croÿ. However, he is too much afraid of his father King Francis to even suggest the possibility of divorce. Things got particularly complicated when Eleonore became pregnant just weeks after their wedding.
