Its a character in the book 'Johnny Tremain' and I know Paul Revere used it as a name for one of his daughters. The etymology seems a bit dicey- possibly a combination of Isabella and Susannah or maybe related to the name Ysanne. Either way it was used at least a little bit from the 1700s but has never hit the top 1000.
