Sorry for two posts so close together guys.
Last night I finally watched the movie Ponyo. Adorable! Anyways, Ponyo is a goldfish princess who leaves the ocean to live with a human boy, for those who don't know the story. Her original name as an ocean princess is
Brunhilda, and she is renamed Ponyo when she is found by the boy.
It's got me thinking about
Brunhilda. I loved it years ago as a little girl, but then thought it was disgusting when I was a teen. What do you think of the name
Brunhilda? Is it usable in today's day and age? Let me tell you, the idea of undersea goldfish royalty with a pinstripe-sporting father in a submarine wearing the name was pretty awesome.
fun fact: the "name" Ponyo is a Japanese Onomatopoeia for "the noise something soft and squishy makes when it is touched".
