Food names are different than floral names, for me. Names that bring to mind eating have a sexual overtone that worries me.
There are some food names that I like, (
Clementine,
Ginger) but usually they have more than one association. And I have no problem with a name from another culture whose name means a food (
Prunella = plum,
Afanen = raspberry).
But the obvious, in-my-face "eat me" names like Plum and Apple are still difficult for me to like.
I know a woman who named her dd Plum.
