[Opinions] Irwin/Irvin
What do you think of Irwin and Irvin? Which one do you prefer? I think I prefer Irwin. I'm sure it immediately makes you think of Steve Irwin, right? Do you think it's usable as a fn? I usually hate surnames as fns unless it is honoring, but for some reason, it's been growing on me.So, what do you think? Do you have any middle name suggestions? Can you think of any male name suggestions that you think are a similar style but are not surnames?

I know a few German guys with this name. I don't think of Steve Irwin. I don't like it though. I just think its a rather weak and nerdy name.

I first think of Irwin Rommel, the "Desert Fox." But he hated Hitler and so many on both sides hold him in esteem as a military tactician, that it isn't necessarily a bad association in my mind. More of a neutral one. And I try very hard not to let one person overshadow a whole name, so I'm still able to keep an open mind with Irwin. (Also, I have a vague childhood memory of Irwin being a toy company. I think they made "slinkies.")I don't see Irwin as a surname, so I won't suggest alternatives. But I love making combos:Irwin Thomas
Irwin Timothy
Irwin Thaddeus
Irwin David
Irwin Peter
Irwin Tobias
Irwin Philip
Irwin Cecil ("SESS-l")
Irwin Linus
Irwin Nathaniel (Oh no! I just broke the "never-begin-the-mn-with-the-same-letter-that ends-the-fn" rule. Whatever will I do? Oh, no!)
Irwin Michael
Irwin Theodore
Irwin Casper
Irwin Joseph
Irwin Felix
Irwin Lysander (two famous generals for the price of one)
Irwin Samuel
Irwin Benedict
Irwin Leopold
