[Opinions] Grazyna and Domaunique
A Polish woman I've known as Grace and thought was her actual first name, I just found out is an Americanized nn for Grazyna. I think that is a pretty name but I understand why she goes by Grace in the U.S. I doubt I'd use Grazyna in the U.S. either. The next one is my cousin's friend Domi. I knew it was short for Dominique but today I saw her graduation invitation and was shocked to see that it is not spelled Dominique though it is pronounced that way, it is Domaunique. Very dissapointing. I cannot understand what they were thinking. I can see Domanique or even Domunique by why au. It looks like Dome-uh-unique or Doma-unique.
