[Opinions] Gwenfrewi?
Gwenfrewi is a sweet, silly little Welsh name I've been analyzing and making combos for for the past few days.
WDYTO it? How do you like it compared to other 'Gwen' names like Gwenllian, Gwendolen/Gwendolyn, and Gwyneth? Any combos? I've been thinking about Gwenfrewi Melisande for a GP.

Love
I love Gwenfrewi. I love how silly it is and how sweet in a scraped-knees kind of way. I think it could kick Gwyneth's goody-two-shoes-butt by the bike racks after school. Gwenllian. ah, I like her just as much but in a different way.
Gwenfrewi Melisande is a little bit distracting. I think Gwenfrewi needs a good solid loaf of a middle name. Like
Gwenfrewi Ruth
Gwenfrewi Frances (try saying that five times fast)
Gwenfrewi Laura
Gwenfrewi Maude
Gwenfrewi Helen
Gwenfrewi Pearl
Gwenfrewi Harriet
Gwenfrewi Nell

My first reaction was, "I don't find it silly at all! It's very strong and medieval." But then I started contemplating silly. And yes, thinking about it used in today's world I can totally see Gwenfrewi, the goofy girl who always can make people laugh and smile.
Anyway, I really like it! It's fun to say and it looks like fun, too. I'm not a huge fan of Gwen names, although I do think Gwenllian is pretty.
Gwenfrewi Melisande doesn't quite match up to me. Even with the medieval feel, Melisande is too refined for it. Gwenfrewi is a warrior maiden, not a princess. I'm still stuck on silly Gwenfrewi anyway. But I'll do combos for both:
Gwenfrewi Arnive
Gwenfrewi Eimear
Gwenfrewi Eseld
Gwenfrewi Linnet
Gwenfrewi Maelle
Gwenfrewi Mefin - this is beautiful!
Gwenfrewi Nimue
Gwenfrewi Ninian
Gwenfrewi Nolwenn
Gwenfrewi Ygraine
Gwenfrewi April
Gwenfrewi Ebba
Gwenfrewi Fay - oh, I love the sound of this!
Gwenfrewi Ffion
Gwenfrewi Francine
Gwenfrewi Georgette

Sorry about the silly image. The 'frewi' got to me after a few comments. :P
I'm so happy there's another person who can see Gwenfrewi being used in real life -- and I love the image of a person who can make everyone laugh and smile, even the warrior maiden image.
I like your diminutive combos the best because they compliment Gwenfrewi's strong points. :) Especially Gwenfrewi Kitty, because I'm glad to see someone use that.

This is pronounced "gwen-VREW-ee" isn't it?
I like it. It's very.. Welsh. It's not something I would consider using myself, but I like it.

Yes, I think so. That's what it says in the comments, so maybe. And yes it's very Welsh. :)
Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it.

Gwenfrewi melisande is awesome!
I like the combo Gwenfrewi Melisande! Yes, it's kind of overkill, but in a good way.
Truthfully, I think I like the English version, Winifred better. I think it's the -ewi ending. I love all the other Gwen names, my favorite of yours is Gwenllian, my all-time fave is Gwenydd ("morning star").

Oh my gosh, Winifred is the English form? I completely forgot. :P
Gwenydd is awesome and has a sweet meaning! :D

It's quirky sounding, but one of my favourite names is Gwen, just Gwen, and I don't feel it needs anything more. Thew 'frewi' part can sound really silly IMO, but some people might enjoy that aspect of the name as it is distinctive. Gwenfrewi is certainly more exciting than Gweneth (which is the feminine form by the way). I like Gwendolen as wellbut Gwenllian is too flowery for me.
Gwenfrewi Melisande isn't the sort of name I'd go for but it flows well.
