I love Ruby for a girl. It's not too popular here yet and I'm hoping it stays that way, in case I get to use it. It really is so juicily, shinily red. And sassy.
For a second I thought you write "Ruby for a boy". Rudy is adorable and I love it a lot. I like Rudolph, but kind of prefer it as a nn for Rudyard. I'm not a huge Kipling fan or anything - I just like how it sounds.

They are cute. but, yeah, he'd get a lot of carols sung at him on the playground, wouldn't he.
